Android phones vary in shape, size, and price, but some are better than others. You can find a foldable phone with the newest processing technology, a budget phone with ample power, or the latest Android updates from Google.
Even though it's early in 2023, there are already some impressive new smartphone options available. Samsung's Galaxy S23 series has launched and the OnePlus 11 is now available in the market. To help you choose the right phone without spending too much time reading reviews, here are our top picks for the best Android phones available currently.
Google has done it again with the Pixel 7 Pro. Though it looks similar to the previous Google Pixel 6 Pro, it has some important improvements that make it the best in the series so far. The 12GB RAM and the large 120Hz OLED display are still intact, but the display is now brighter than ever. The phone's design still includes the camera bar, which some may not like, but it prevents the phone from wobbling on a flat surface.
What's new with this generation? Actually, quite a bit. The changes start with the design, which has been updated in some important ways. While the back panel is still glossy glass, the camera bar is now made of polished aluminum that blends in with the phone's frame. The curved screen is still present, but it's less round this time, making it easier to grip the Pixel 6 Pro. It's powered by Tensor G2, which may not be a significant performance upgrade, but it does enable a host of new AI-powered software capabilities.
The camera is still the star of the show, as always. Google has kept the same 50MP primary sensor, but it now outputs 12.5MP images that look fantastic. This year, the sensor can zoom in up to 2x without losing quality, resulting in some impressive photos. The ultra-wide lens has been updated to a much wider field-of-view, so it's genuinely ultra-wide now. This has allowed Google to introduce an exclusive Macro Mode on the Pixel 7 Pro. The most significant upgrade over the standard Pixel 7, however, is the telephoto lens, which now has a 5x zoom and supports up to 30x digital zoom with Super Res Mode. It captures stunning photos, particularly at 10x, which is the sweet spot for Super Res Mode.
While the Pixel 7 Pro is an impressive phone, it's not without its flaws. The battery life is decent, but it won't last you more than a day with average use. Additionally, the design choices may not be to everyone's liking, especially with the polished aluminum back panel that's prone to scratches. The smaller Pixel 7, on the other hand, seems to have more attractive design features in our opinion.
We know Google Pixel 7 Pro's telephoto lens is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Therefore, if you desire to maximize your mobile photography experience, the Pixel 7 Pro is the way to go, and that is why it has been awarded Swiftroics editor's choice as the finest Android phone currently available.
We have listed down top picks available in Swiftronic store, which you can order online or visit our physical store to buy now.
