Privacy policy

Swiftronics Inc. ("Swiftronics," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website at swiftronics.ca (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Personal information is information that can identify you, directly or indirectly — for example your name, address, phone number, email address, or payment details. Anonymized data that cannot identify you is not personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you place an order, create an account, or contact support, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information. Payment card details are processed securely by Shopify and our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we automatically collect technical data when you visit — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, and pages viewed. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, remember preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may stop working.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects your IP address and usage data under Google's own privacy policy. We do not combine this with information that personally identifies you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

process and ship your orders, and handle returns or warranty claims;
respond to your questions and provide customer support;
send order and shipping updates;
send marketing emails or texts only where you have given consent (see Section 4);
detect and prevent fraud; and
meet our legal and tax obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — for example payment processors, shipping carriers, and our e-commerce platform (Shopify) — and only the information they need to do their job. These providers are required to protect your information and not use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Swiftronics, our customers, or the public.

4. Marketing and Your Consent (CASL)

We send marketing emails and texts only to people who have agreed to receive them. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time and we will stop, except for non-marketing messages we need to send about an order you placed (such as a shipping confirmation).

A phone number is not required to make a purchase. If you give us your number and agree, we may text you order updates or — with separate consent — promotions. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Cookies and Do-Not-Track

You can control cookies through your browser settings. There is no industry-standard response to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we do not currently respond to them.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including SSL encryption for sensitive data in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have a security concern, contact us at the email below.

7. Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and tax requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Your Rights — Access and Deletion

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, and to request deletion of your marketing data. Send requests to privacy@swiftronics.ca. We will respond within 30 days. Some information must be retained where required by law or tax rules even after a deletion request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
